Saturday May 13 Celebrate Local Women Making a Difference

Please join us for our annual festive tea and champagne reception to honor local women making a difference and to remember the original meaning of Mother’s Day as a call to women’s political activism.

The event will be held on Saturday May 13 from 3 to 5 pm at the historic Kenyon House at the Poughkeepsie Day School.

We are honoring three local women with the Lucille Pattison Woman of the Year Award: town supervisors from diverse areas in Dutchess County who had the courage to step up and run and run again in areas previously dominated by Republicans:
  • Aileen Rohr, Hyde Park town supervisor since 2012
  • Elizabeth Spinzia, Rhinebeck town supervisor first elected in 2013
  • Linda French, Dover town supervisor elected in 2015

Guest – $65 DDWC Member – $50
You can mail your reservation to our PO Box or you can pay online

Defending and protecting our democracy starts here in our cities and villages and towns with local boards and councils, local offices, and town supervisors; and in our county with restoring Democratic control of the County Legislature and winning county wide offices.
The money we raise at our May event will be used in this local election year to support Democratic women candidates and the county-wide get out the vote effort.
Lucille Pattison was the first woman elected County Executive in New York State and the first Democratic woman County Executive in the United States. She was a founding member of the Dutchess Democratic Women’s Caucus
