On January 6th, 2022 activists across the country and in Washington D.C. will host candlelight vigils, voter registration drives and other actions to remember the attack on our Capitol from one year prior and the ongoing attacks on our democracy and urge Congress and the President to urgently pass legislation that will protect and strengthen our democracy.

Inspired by U.S. Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA), a member of the January 6 Committee and author of Midnight in Washington: How We Almost Lost our Democracy and Still Could, more than 60 organizations have signed on as partners and more than 70 events are posted, including Albany’s Vigil for Democracy from 5:00-6:30 pm.

If you would like to help organize a vigil here in Dutchess County, please fill out the following form.

Please note that DWCC.org is not a sponsor of this event, but is sharing this information on behalf of interested Dutchess County residents.
